Lazure
From the Detroit News, "Lazure painting is a cost-effective and highly applauded technique that offers relief from high stress environments and dreary institutional color formulas." I have noticed that many of my clients in the last 24 years have grown tired of their solid colored walls as well as the various faux finishes that have become so popular. With the lazure finish they not only see the difference, but also feel it.The colors seem to breathe into the space, not just sit on the wall. A lazured space speaks and shines in a very real and organic way. I believe that this is the power and beauty of using transparent, luminous color.

Any color palette can be used for this technique. The effect can be soft and subdued or intense and dramatic. One can even have a soft gradation of different colors, one flowing gently into the next, providing an interesting alternative to a solid single hue. Contact me for further information. I can help with color selection, taking into consideration the room's function, light, dimension and personal taste.
